Home of the Illinois Vietnamese Unified Buddhist Association at W. Wilson Ave. and Ashland.
The building has an interesting history here – from Masonic Lodge to Buddhist Temple. Before the Vietnamese Buddhist Association bought it, I remember the building was in disrepair and the site itself was rundown and full of trash and was a hangout of seedy characters.
Now, it is in great shape … there is also a Tibetan Buddhist group that meets here.
